Are you passionate about education and making a positive impact on students' lives? We are currently working with a Mainstream Secondary School in Greenwich who are seeking enthusiastic Tutors (with a specialism in English, Maths or Science) to join their team from February 2024.

As a Tutor at this secondary school in Greenwich, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic progress and personal development. You will work closely with the children, helping with planning and preparation, and offering individualized support to students who may require extra help.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Tutoring students in the three core subjects (English, Maths and Science)
• Providing individual support to students, including those with special educational needs.
• Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Promoting student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
• Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to meet the specific needs of students.
• Supporting the school's commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
• Participating in relevant professional development activities to enhance your skills.

Requirements for the role:

• Relevant experience working as a Tutor with a specialism in either English, Maths or Science.
• Knowledge of the secondary school curriculum and an understanding of teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and work with a diverse range of students.
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to understand and support students' individual needs.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• A collaborative approach, working well within a team environment.
