Learning Support Assistant | SEBD | Stockport Quality Teachers are currently looking to recruit confident and creative Learning Support Assistants who are committed to making a difference to the achievement and personal development of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This rewarding SEN Learning Support Assistant position is available to start in September 2017 within a special school in the Stockport area, initially on a temporary basis and if successful will lead to a permanent vacancy. This Learning Support Assistant role will involve working across 2 sites supporting young people with SEN, specifically those with social emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD). You will be required to assist the students with various lessons and activities with a flexible approach. Experience working with challenging behaviour and a calm attitude are essential. This Ofsted graded ‘good’ special school caters for around 40 secondary aged students with a range of needs such as social emotional and behavioural difficulties and many have been excluded from mainstream school. They aim to re-engage young people in education through engaging activities that are adapted to suit the needs and abilities of pupils in a caring environment. We are building an education community that we are incredibly proud of and are looking to find high quality support staff to join the team.
